The title for this series is "Mad Bucking Witches" or more simply "MBW".
I was inspired by a title very similar to this one, but the original title contains a swear word for the middle word, and this swear word is the kind that children are not allowed to use in some public places, eg. the classroom. As I wish for children to access this site, I have swapped the swear word for the word "bucking", which I think is an awesome word....maybe even more awesome than the original swear word, because "bucking" has several meanings, eg. "bucking the system".
In painting my first piece, titled "Mad Bucking Witch at Work", I seemed to be releasing great tankfuls of pent up steamy rage during the process... which felt pretty good.
I usually like to credit my inspirations for my art, so for the original title (the one with the swear word) I have to thank the Honourable Mr Peter Dutton MP, who is the current Immigration Minister for the Liberal National Party which is our Australian governing party for the moment. Had Peter's text (containing the original title) not been sent by accident this month to the very same female journalist he was actually describing in the text (instead of the text going to his dumped politician mate as intended), then we would have missed out on knowing Peter's pet term for the professional working women he meets all the time in his public MP role.
Gosh, poor Peter Dutton!
It's not the first time he has put his foot in his mouth, nor the second or the third for that matter.
It's not the first time he has put his foot in his mouth, nor the second or the third for that matter.
Remember how he quipped about the plight of Pacific Island nations facing rising seas from climate change? When he didn't know the mike in front of him was actually turned on, so we all found out how much he cared about people from other nations?
I don't mind Peter making so many faux pas in public.
I think it's quite nice of him actually, to provide some much needed transparency in our Australian government.

I hope you like the MBW series. The series is a work in progress, and the finished paintings are for sale from this site.
